Abstract

The article examines the role and place of the regional grain market and its processed products in the Zaporozhie region in the context of the region's agro-economic development. Attention is paid to the importance of the grain sector for the local economy and food security. The study uses methods of statistical analysis, economic modeling, and comparative analysis. Data from state statistics, as well as reports from regional agricultural enterprises and processing organizations, were used. An analysis of the dynamics of production, export, and import of grain crops and their processed products was carried out. The results of the study show that the Zaporozhie region occupies key positions in the grain market due to favorable natural and climatic conditions and a high level of agrotechnology development. The article identifies the main trends and changes in the structure of production and processing of grain crops over the past five years. Significant attention is paid to interregional connections and export activities, emphasizing the importance of foreign economic factors for the development of the regional market. Both positive and negative aspects of the functioning of the regional grain market and its processed products are discussed. Positive aspects include a high level of technological equipment and significant production volumes. Negative aspects include logistics problems, limited financial resources for farmers, and price instability in world markets. The state support programs for the agro-industrial complex and their real impact on the growth and development of the industry are also analyzed. In conclusion, conclusions are drawn about the current state and prospects for the development of the regional grain market and its processed products in the Zaporozhie region.
