Abstract

The article explores the changes in language caused by the development of digital communication. The main purpose of the work is to study the influence of online communication on the dynamics of language evolution. In the Introduction, the author describes the significance of the research, paying attention to how the digital age has changed classical approaches to language interaction. The main part is devoted to the study of the influence of online communication on the dynamics of language evolution. The author argues that modern technologies contribute to the spread of new forms of communication, such as emojis, abbreviations and slang. Combined methods were used to analyze the impact of communication on the evolution of language. The study uses corpus analysis of texts from social networks and forums, which allows us to assess the frequency and nature of new language constructions. A survey of more than 1,000 respondents was also conducted to find out how users perceive online language and what changes they notice in their speech. The results show that online communication has primarily changed written speech, making it more rapid and emotional. Various forms of abbreviations have become widespread (for example, "lol", "btw"), as well as creolization of texts using symbols and emoticons. An important trend is the emergence of new grammatical constructions and shortened phrases. The discussion highlights the importance of these changes in the long term. The authors conclude that the Internet is causing a significant shift in language norms, making them more flexible and dynamic. It is also indicated that new forms of speech communication can become the basis for the emergence of new languages or dialects. The work ends with the conclusion that as a result of online communication, the language continues to evolve, adapting to technological changes, while maintaining the general principles of expressiveness and informativeness.
