A study of the origin and symbolism of the traditional Chinese Hui pattern

Abstract

The Hui pattern is one of the decorative traditional Chinese patterns, after a long development and a thousand-year history, it is widely used in modern classical decorative patterns that exist in our lives around. The study reveals not only the history, but also the purpose and meaning of the Hui back pattern, its significance for the national Chinese tradition. In the beginning, the pattern was found in bronze and ceramics, but over time, its meaning and use shifted from artifacts to the everyday everyday standard of living in modern China. Behind the wide range of transformations of the Hui pattern, its richness and colorfulness, there are changes in the culture of an entire nation, contained in various customs of each period of the development of the Chinese state and expressed in various aesthetics of the times. The artistic and cultural implications behind them are something that needs to be further explored.
