Development of trade and economic relations between China and Russia in the context of globalization

Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of the development of trade and economic relations between China and Russia in the context of globalization transformations. The consideration of this topic is due to the key importance of interaction between the two countries, which are the largest economic and geopolitical players, as well as their desire to strengthen cooperation at the regional and global levels. The work uses a comprehensive approach, including the analysis of statistical data, regulatory documents, and economic reports. To assess current trends, comparative analysis and systems approach methods were used, which made it possible to identify key aspects of interaction between Russia and China in the context of globalization. The study showed that the key factors determining the mutual integration of the economies of the two countries are strategic partnership and favorable conditions in foreign markets. Attention is paid to the dynamic growth of mutual trade, increasing investment flows, as well as the implementation of joint energy and infrastructure projects, such as the Power of Siberia gas pipeline and the Belt and Road initiative. The analysis revealed that despite the strengthening of interaction, challenges related to the imbalance of the trade structure, foreign policy sanctions and regional barriers remain. It is concluded that trade and economic relations between China and Russia in the context of globalization are an important factor for the sustainable development of both countries. Further strengthening of relations requires the elimination of structural imbalances, modernization of economies, and expansion of areas of cooperation within the framework of diversification. The scientific significance of the work lies in identifying the main areas of development of relations and potential strategies for their optimization.
