The impact of corporate culture on the effectiveness of the implementation of innovative projects in large companies

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to study the impact of corporate culture on the effectiveness of implementing innovative projects in large companies. In the modern world, innovation is a key factor in competitiveness, making the study of mechanisms for their successful implementation particularly relevant. Corporate culture is a set of values, norms, and traditions that determine the behavior of employees and company management. In recent years, increasing attention has been paid to the role of this culture in the implementation of innovative projects. However, despite numerous studies, many aspects of this impact remain insufficiently explored. This work used a mixed methodological approach, including both quantitative and qualitative analysis methods. A survey was conducted among employees of large companies actively participating in innovative projects. Additionally, in-depth interviews were conducted with middle and senior managers. Quantitative data was analyzed using statistical analysis, while qualitative data was analyzed using content analysis. The study results showed that corporate culture significantly influences the effectiveness of implementing innovative projects. Companies with an open and supportive corporate culture demonstrated higher rates of successful project completion. In particular, such cultural aspects as support for initiatives, openness to change, investment in employee training and development positively correlate with the success of innovation implementation. At the same time, cultures dominated by hierarchical structures and low levels of trust reduce the chances of successful project completion. Based on the obtained data, it can be concluded that corporate culture is significant for the successful implementation of innovations in large companies. Managing culture should receive special attention at the planning and implementation stages of innovative projects. Implementing policies that promote the creation of a supportive corporate environment can significantly increase the effectiveness of implementing innovative initiatives. Further research suggests analyzing specific tools and strategies for changing corporate culture to improve results.
