Research and innovation of constructivist architectural elements - on the example of the public architectural project "Nevsky Bridge"

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the evolution of elements of constructivist architecture as one of the key stylistic trends of the 20th century. The main attention is paid to the analysis of the transformation of architectural elements in the context of social, political and technological changes. The study emphasizes the importance of constructivism in the development of modern architecture. To achieve the stated goals, the methods of historical-analytical, comparative and visual analysis were used. Literary sources, archival materials, and architectural projects of the constructivist period were analyzed. In addition, using a chronological approach, the influence of constructivist elements in their evolutionary development, up to their integration into modern architectural concepts, was studied. The study established that constructivism, despite its relatively short historical period of prosperity, had a great influence on the architecture of the 20th and 21st centuries. The key architectural elements of constructivism, such as functionalism, laconicism of forms, the use of new materials and technologies, as well as attention to the social aspects of design, are systematized. It is shown that modern architects often adapt the ideas of constructivism in the context of new forms and technologies, while maintaining its basic functional and aesthetic principle. The stages of transformation of constructivist ideas, as well as their rethinking in postmodernism and neoconstructivism, are highlighted. Elements of constructivist architecture have undergone significant evolution, reflecting changes in approaches to design, the influence of new technologies and cultural needs. In the modern world, constructivist tendencies remain relevant, transforming and adapting to modern architectural tasks. Further research can focus on specific examples of the influence of constructivism in different countries and building archetypes.
