Analysis of the impact of global technological trends on the transformation and strategic management of regional information and telecommunication systems

Abstract

With the rapid development of technology, global technological trends have a huge impact on various sectors of the economy and public life. Information and telecommunication systems (ITS), being a key element of digital transformation, are becoming not only the basis for regional development, but also require major changes in strategic management. The purpose of this article is to analyze the impact of global technological trends on the transformation of regional ITS and to develop recommendations for their strategic management. The study used comparative and systematic analysis, as well as forecasting methods. Key technological trends such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, big data, automation and cybersecurity were studied. The collected data and regional cases were analyzed in terms of their impact on the functioning and management of ITS. The analysis revealed that global technological trends create new opportunities, but also significant challenges for regional ITS. Among the main changes are an increase in automation, an increase in the amount of data and its importance for strategic decision-making, as well as more complex security issues. To adapt to these changes, regions need to move towards flexible system management, increased attention to staff training, and infrastructure modernization. The analysis showed that successful transformation and management of regional ITS require interaction between government agencies, private companies and the scientific community. The most important role is played by the rapid implementation of innovations and optimization of strategic processes, taking into account regional specifics. Global technological trends have a significant impact on regional ITS, changing their essence and principles of management. To successfully integrate these changes into strategic management, it is necessary to take into account both global and local aspects. The results of the study can be useful for developers of regional policies and strategies.
