Innovative mechanisms to ensure the sustainable growth of high-tech clusters in the context of the accelerating digitalization of the economy

Abstract

In the context of modern global changes, the digitalization of the economy is becoming a key factor determining the competitiveness and efficiency of national economic systems. High-tech clusters act as drivers of economic growth, innovation, and technological progress. However, their sustainable development requires the introduction of innovative management mechanisms adapted to the challenges of digitalization. The paper uses methods of system and structural analysis, comparative study of cluster models and analysis of existing practices of digital transformation in high-tech sectors of the economy. To model the effective functioning of such clusters, a combination of quantitative and qualitative data is used, as well as forecasting tools based on digital metrics. The study showed that the introduction of digital technologies in the management of high-tech clusters helps optimize their activities, reduce transaction costs and accelerate innovation processes. The key factors for successful growth are: the use of platform solutions based on artificial intelligence and big data, the development of digital infrastructure, the integration of cluster participants through digital ecosystems, and government involvement in supporting digital initiatives. The role of the synergetic effect arising from the interaction of cluster members and its impact on the long-term sustainability of their development was also demonstrated. The proposed mechanisms contribute to strengthening the competitive positions of national economies in global markets. Special attention is paid to the need to strengthen cooperation between business, scientific institutions and the state. However, the study also reveals a number of obstacles related to high initial investments in digitalization and insufficient staff qualifications. The work represents a significant contribution to the study of the sustainable development of high-tech clusters. The demonstrated innovative mechanisms can become the basis for the development of national digitalization strategies and cluster policy management.
