Abstract

1. Modern music education is increasingly paying attention to traditional cultural values, including the philosophical legacy of Confucius. This article explores the application of Confucian ideals in music pedagogy. Their relevance in shaping the personality of students is emphasized, especially in the context of globalization and loss of connection with national traditions. The author applies an interactive approach based on the theoretical analysis of Confucian texts and their adaptation to educational practice. The empirical basis of the research includes surveys and interviews with music school teachers and students. The main emphasis is placed on such key concepts of Confucianism as "ren" (humanity), "li" (ritual, discipline), and "yi" (moral behavior), which are interpreted in the context of professional musical education. The study showed that the application of Confucian ideals contributes to the comprehensive personal development of students. The principles of "ren" help to form the empathy and deep emotional expressiveness necessary for musical art. The idea of "lee" teaches discipline, structure and respect for traditions. The concept of "and" instills in students ethical standards that are important in the learning process and professional activities. In addition, the relationship between mastering Confucian principles and increasing motivation to study music has been revealed. The author emphasizes that the integration of Confucian ideals into the educational programs of music schools contributes not only to the development of professional skills, but also to the harmonization of personality. However, the effectiveness of such methods largely depends on the competence of teachers and their ability to adapt philosophical principles to the needs of modern students. Thus, the inclusion of Confucian values in music education opens up new perspectives for the formation of both professional and ethical qualities of students. This reinforces the importance of culture in the development of modern society and emphasizes the need to preserve philosophical heritage in educational practice.
