Abstract
In the context of the global changes of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, Russia is taking active steps to reshape its geopolitical strategy and strengthen ties with Asian countries. These changes are based not only on economics and politics, but also on cultural identity, which acts as a connecting link between Russia and its Asian partners. This paper analyzes key aspects of Russia's interaction with Asia, focusing on the influence of cultural factors and long-term strategic attitudes. The research is based on a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach, including historical analysis, a cultural approach, as well as political and economic modeling. Key documents, statistical data and examples of successful cooperation between Russia and Asian countries are analyzed. A comparative analysis of the Western and Asian directions of Russian foreign policy is carried out. It is revealed that the restoration and strengthening of Russia's relations with Asian countries is taking place in the context of a global reorientation of the world order. One of the central factors is the formation of a new cultural identity, partly related to Asian traditions. Russia's strategic attitude is aimed at strengthening cooperation with Asian economic centers, which makes it possible to compensate for the decline in influence in the West. At the same time, challenges remain related to Russia's integration into the Asian system, including cultural differences and the asymmetry of economic interaction. The article notes the need for a balanced approach, the development of mutual understanding and the strengthening of cultural exchange. Russia has a unique position at the junction of Europe and Asia, which creates the prerequisites for fruitful cooperation in the future. Shifting the focus from confrontation to dialogue and cooperation is a key success factor. Thus, the integration of cultural and strategic approaches plays a crucial role in restoring Russia's relations with Asia. A well-thought-out foreign policy can strengthen Russia's position in the rapidly developing Asian region.
