Abstract
The article examines the functional role of museum education in the system of artistic education, revealing its unique potential as a pedagogical tool. The author analyzes the key functions of museum education: cognitive, aesthetic-educational and methodological, emphasizing their importance for the formation of professional competencies and visual literacy. Particular attention is paid to the integration of museum practices into formal and informal educational programs, as well as bridging the gap between theoretical training and practical interaction with works of art. The article substantiates the need for a systematic approach to museum pedagogy, including the development of methodological strategies and training of specialists. The results of the study demonstrate that museum education is capable of transforming traditional models of art education, providing a synthesis of theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
