The role of bilingual education in the formation of professional competencies of future specialists

Abstract

Bilingual education is becoming an important tool in training highly qualified specialists, especially in the context of globalization. It allows you to develop not only language skills, but also professional competencies necessary for successful work in the international arena. This article examines the impact of bilingual education on the formation of professional competencies among students as part of their professional training. To achieve the objectives of the study, an integrated approach was applied, including an analysis of educational programs, a survey of students and teachers, as well as a comparative analysis of the competencies of students enrolled in bilingual and traditional educational programs. The study was conducted on the basis of higher educational institutions using bilingual methods in teaching specialized disciplines. The results of the study showed that the use of a bilingual approach helps to increase the level of professional mobility, develop analytical thinking and improve students' communication skills. Students in bilingual programs show better results in understanding professional terminology in a foreign language and adapt better to a multicultural work environment. Additionally, it was revealed that bilingual education stimulates the development of cognitive abilities, which has a positive effect on the assimilation of professional knowledge. The data obtained confirm the importance of bilingual education in the profession of future specialists. It promotes the integration of theoretical and practical knowledge, taking into account international standards. However, the success of bilingual programs depends on the methodical training of teachers, the quality of educational materials and the level of motivation of students. The conclusions of the study can be useful for improving educational programs and developing recommendations for the introduction of bilingual teaching methods into the practice of higher education institutions.
