The impact of digital technologies on increasing the flexibility and adaptability of industrial enterprises in the context of global economic changes and challenges

In the light of accelerating global economic changes and the challenges they cause, the adaptation of industrial enterprises to new conditions is becoming a priority. This article explores the impact of digital technologies on increasing the flexibility and adaptability of these enterprises, giving an idea of existing strategies and practices. The study used several methods of analysis, including quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data from large industrial enterprises were analyzed, as well as interviews with managers and managers implementing digital technologies and adaptation strategies were conducted. In addition, systematic reviews of scientific publications and reports of industry organizations were used. The results of the study showed that the introduction of digital technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing contributes to a significant increase in the flexibility and adaptability of industrial enterprises. This is reflected in improving the decision-making process, optimizing production processes and accelerating adaptation to market changes. Companies that actively integrate digital technologies demonstrate higher resilience to economic shocks and are able to respond quickly to changes in customer demand and needs. The introduction of digital technologies is also accompanied by a number of challenges, such as the need for investments in infrastructure, cybersecurity and staff training. However, the benefits that these technologies provide far outweigh the potential risks. Various approaches and best practices that can be used for effective digital transformation of industrial enterprises are discussed. Digital technologies play a key role in increasing the flexibility and adaptability of industrial enterprises in the face of global economic changes and challenges. An integrated approach to their implementation and use can help enterprises not only survive, but also thrive in an ever-changing economic environment.
