Abstract
Transparency and accessibility of public services occupy an important place in the modern system of public administration. In the context of digitalization, information technology (IT) is becoming a powerful tool for improving the efficiency of public service delivery. This article is aimed at exploring the role of IT in improving the transparency and accessibility of these services to the public. The study uses the method of comparative analysis, descriptive statistical methods, as well as a survey of citizens and specialists in the field of public services. This made it possible to evaluate both quantitative and qualitative aspects of information technology implementation. Examples of successful digital initiatives in various countries are considered. The analysis showed that the use of information technology contributes to the maximum automation of processes, reducing the number of errors and corruption schemes. The introduction of online platforms and electronic document management has increased the speed of service delivery and stimulated public participation in the process of obtaining and evaluating public services. Citizen surveys have shown an increase in user satisfaction, while government agencies have noted increased efficiency, reduced maintenance costs, and reduced paperwork. The introduction of electronic portals and mobile applications as inclusive means of access to services, regardless of the place of residence of citizens, proved to be particularly successful. Statistical data confirm that information technology has significantly improved the accessibility and transparency of public services. Nevertheless, challenges remain related to cybersecurity, digital inequality, and the need to train citizens to work with new platforms. The institutional sustainability of government digital systems requires further improvement. Information technology plays a crucial role in increasing transparency and accessibility of public services, but further work is needed in areas such as data protection and digital education.
