Linguistic and cultural differences between China and Russia, ideological differences

Abstract

This article analyzes the linguistic and cultural differences between China and Russia, as well as their impact on ideological perception. In the era of globalization, effective interaction between countries requires a mutual understanding of cultures and language. However, significant differences in both aspects can create barriers to productive cooperation. The article explores how historically established cultural characteristics and ideological attitudes affect intercultural communication between the peoples of China and Russia. A comparative analytical method was used to carry out the analysis. The sources included literary works on cultural and linguistic research, as well as existing works on the political and ideological interrelationships between countries. In addition, the results of field research, surveys and interviews with native speakers representing different social and cultural strata were used. Key cultural differences have been identified, such as the emphasis on collectivism in China and individualism in Russia; the role and importance of hierarchies in both cultures; differences in the perception of time and the importance of personal connections in the business sphere. In terms of language, the analysis showed that Chinese, with its tonal system and hieroglyphic writing, differs significantly from Russian alphabetic writing, which creates difficulties in learning and perception. Ideological differences also play an important role in shaping peoples' worldviews. China's conservative and traditional ideals overlap with Russia's socialist past, but current trends are leading to an increasing divergence. The linguistic and cultural differences between China and Russia are significant and have a significant impact on their ideological positions. In order to strengthen intercultural dialogue, it is important to take into account these differences and work to overcome them through education and cultural exchange.
