Innovative technologies and digital resources in teaching foreign language borrowings in modern universities

Abstract

Today, the digitalization of education and the introduction of innovative technologies are key components of the modernization of the educational process. The discipline of teaching foreign languages in higher education institutions requires adaptation to these changes, which allows for better and more modern teaching. This article analyzes the use of innovative technologies and digital resources to improve the effectiveness of the teaching process, as well as their impact on students' learning. To achieve these goals, the authors used a comprehensive methodological approach, including the study of scientific literature, surveys among teachers and students, as well as a practical assessment of the integration of digital resources. The focus is on online platforms (for example, Moodle, Zoom), mobile applications for learning languages (Duolingo, Quizlet) and multimedia materials. The study showed that the use of innovative technologies such as virtual simulators, interactive assignments and online courses significantly improves students' motivation. Positive effects on the development of various language competencies were noted: speaking, listening, writing and reading. It is also revealed that digital resources contribute to the individualization of the learning process, allowing students to choose the pace and volume of the material. The author emphasizes that the successful integration of innovative technologies requires systematic training of teachers, revision of curricula and improvement of technical equipment of universities. However, the use of technology should be balanced so as not to reduce the importance of traditional teaching methods. The use of innovative technologies and digital resources opens up broad prospects for improving the quality of foreign language teaching in higher education institutions. Providing access to technological tools and their proper use will help prepare students for professional activities in a globalized world.
